About Me
I’m Gordon Neuls — a Systems Analyst with a strong technical foundation in SQL, data modeling, and enterprise integration. My work centers on understanding how systems behave, documenting workflows, and guiding modernization efforts that make platforms more reliable, maintainable, and scalable. I focus on clarity, structure, and long‑term sustainability in every system I touch, supported by strong visual grammar and consistent documentation practices.
Professional Journey
Across more than two decades, I’ve worked in financial services, healthcare, public safety communications, and consumer products. My experience spans both W2 roles and independent consulting under NeuByte Technologies, giving me a broad perspective on how real systems evolve, scale, and fail — and how to modernize them responsibly.
- LPL Financial — enterprise systems and financial operations
- Insurance Technologies — illustration systems and product workflows
- SAIC / NAMM (Contract) —systems analysis and regulatory remediation
- Motorola Solutions / Airbus DS Communications —public safety analytics and platform modernization
- Melaleuca — data workflows, system behavior analysis, and modernization support
- NeuByte Technologies —my personal engineering and systems‑analysis brand
Engineering Philosophy
My approach to engineering is shaped by a few core principles:
- Documentation is a first-class artifact. A system isn’t complete until it’s understood.
- Consistency beats cleverness. Clean, predictable patterns scale better than shortcuts.
- Visual grammar matters. Diagrams, UI flows, and architecture visuals are part of the product.
- Systems should feel intentional. Every component should have a purpose and a place.
Current Focus
I’m currently building the NeuByte Fitness App Portfolio — a complete, enterprise-style project that showcases system design, documentation, UI/UX flows, and engineering execution. This includes:
- Full UML and workflow diagram system
- Modular documentation structure
- NeuByte-branded visual grammar and assets
- Clean, maintainable application architecture
Outside of Work
Idaho-based. Focused, disciplined, and always refining systems — whether code, diagrams, workflows, or documentation. Faith and family guide my priorities and keep my work grounded in purpose.
